interaction design, designHaving previously designed BestGolfCaddy's identity and first (website) release, the start-up quickly realised that Mobile was the way to go in order for them to rise above the competition.BestGolfCaddy's mission is to provide Golfers with an easy (and fun!) to use tool that helps them keep track of their Golf results.The mobile version of BestGolfCaddy allows Golfers to keep track of their scores and statistics and provides insight in gameplay through the use of algorithms and graphs.My role in this project was to facillitate both Interaction Design and Screen Design. Mobile development agency Web at Work developed the app. It is expected to be released in the spring of 2012.In cooperation with:Web at Work<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/01_home-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/01_home-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/00_status-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/00_status-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/02_new-game-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/02_new-game-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/03_select-a-course-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/03_select-a-course-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/04_select-a-tee-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/04_select-a-tee-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/05_game-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/05_game-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/06_scores-stats-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/06_scores-stats-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/07_charts-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/07_charts-screen_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/08_app-icon-screen.png" border="0" width="670" height="800" width_o="670" height_o="800" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1841809/08_app-icon-screen_o.png" align="left" />

concepting, interaction design, designFor the second version of TEDxYouth Amsterdam I joined the ranks of the experience team to make sure TEDxYouthAms 2011 would be an event visitors wouldn't forget. We handmade about 200 badges that contained a blue led light and an RFID chip. With the badges kids were able to check-in at different activities through-out the conference. (like a sustainable dancefloor, kinect energizer, workshops etc.).At the end of the conference kids were mailed with a link to a personalized after experience website where we linked their presence at activities with pictures taken throughout the day.We provided kids with a tangible token to remember the day by and a thoughtful after experience to sustain the experience.Next to partaking in the concepting I designed several key parts of the overall experience like the experience at the registration desk and the after-experience.Several photos on this page courtesy of Sammy de Keijne

research, conceptA former workers community, Heijplaat is a small neighbourhood located behind the former shipbuilding and repair company 'Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij'. After the company went out of business the community struggled with it's identity and with being the political focus point of several companies that were trying to redevelop the area.Honours Programme students were challenged to come up with a solution that would improve the quality of life of residents currently living in the Heijplaat community. This project was done together with students from varying disciplines like architectural engineering and facility management. In the end, the design team created a digital map where all kinds of information about the area (development, traffic, population, online conversing on social networks) was presented. Through this we attempted to help residents get their voice back, provide transparency on the current state of the community and most of all to help all parties involved get back on track. In this project I contributed by concepting and doing in-depth research into the needs and wants of residents.

designThe ministry of Infrastructure and Environment is one of Tam Tam's most loyal clients, so when traffic and vehicle consulting branche KpVV needed a new website Tam Tam happily accepted. The client was originally very happy with their old website, so as Designers we were told to keep true as much as possible to their 'old' features but pouring the website in a new and modern form. After establishing a basic visual style with senior-designer Catriona de Ligt I was tasked with designing the actual pages on the supplied Interaction Design.Overall I'm very happy with the way it turned out and the amount of detail I was able to put into the work.

design,front-end developmentRobb Horton was the Director of Corporate Design at Bosch. Having a long and warm relationship with Edenspiekermann they decided to give him a form of going-away present when he announced that he was going to retire.Being a big car fan and having an extensive car collection himself Edenspiekermann decided to give him his very own iPhone app so he could show his cars everywhere he went.Considering the app time from start to finish was quite short, we decided on making it a Webapp. I was responsible for designing the app and partly in implementing it front-end wise.

designBosch has been a long time client of Edenspiekermann. Next to being responsible for all major production work for the Bosch brand, Edenspiekermann is also in charge of maintaining a strict Corporate Identity handbook. With smartphones becoming more of a commodity Bosch also has several Mobile apps in the various app stores. During my time in Edenspiekermann's Berlin office I worked on a number of proposals for Bosch app icons to illustrate to management that having a consistent look for icons is another important touchpoint in the brand's corporate identity.

front-end developmentSoundprism is an iPad and iPhone app through which you can create music.By using clever algorithms and an intuitive interface users are freed of the hassle of knowing all kinds of hardcore music theory and can focus on just making cool music.During my time at Edenspiekermann Berlin I was tasked with implementing the new micro-site that designer Meral Hirsch designed. With the idea that the website would serve as another touchpoint in Audanika's branding of SoundPrism.Particulary interesting in this project was the fact that I got carte blanche as far as solutions were concerned. I eventually built the website using the Compass framework and using sass instead of CSS. The whole website was built with graceful degradation in mind and utilized typekit for the alternative fonts chosen. All in all this relatively simple project greatly improved my front-end skills and opened my eyes to the fun of being a front-end developer In service of:Edenspiekermann<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05_crop.png" border="0" width="670" height="443" width_o="699" height_o="463" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05_crop_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05_crop2.png" border="0" width="670" height="398" width_o="700" height_o="416" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05_crop2_o.png" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05.png" border="0" width="670" height="1181" width_o="1258" height_o="2219" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/82670/1048051/Screen-shot-2011-05-06-at-12.05_o.png" align="left" />
